My last blog posts dates from 2020 already! But you know, life happens sometime :)

But anyhow, today's post is about the Cosmic Brushes Serenity palette. I discovered this brand through Angelica Nyqvist on YouTube, who had this and other palettes of the brand consistently in her top favourite palettes of the year. This one even was n° 1 the year it launched!

If you like indie makeup, I do suggest following her channel to get honest reviews of more unknown brands and I especially recommend her ranking videos to know what's really worth getting.

The Serenity palette I got on the website (UK based) for around €30, which is in my opinion very cheap and to be honest, I think they can definitely charge more. EU import VAT is taken into account at checkout, so no surprises upon delivery. Overall, I can say the shopping experience was good!

I already used the palette several times before taking photograph, so excuse the not so pristine state of the palette. I mean, it only shows I actually used it ;)

Swatches:

Performance

The stars of the show here are the matte shadows. they are very pigmented, build well, blend easily and don't get patchy. There was also not one shade that underperformed compared to he others here.

The shimmers... they are definitely good. A more classic shimmer formulation, which I appreciate.

Not exceptionally sparkly and special, but also not flakey, as some newer formulas tend to give us these days. I think they picked up and applied well with a brush and wetting them with some setting spray enhances the shimmer effect.

Overall I really do recommend this palette, if you like the colour scheme and erpecially if you are a matte shadow lover, like me. The quality is really great, the price makes it very accessible and the shopping experience is great (from EU perspective)!
