L'Oréal Shake & Glow Spray review

Let's kick this blog off with a short and sweet review of a great drugstore find!

Yes, I'm talking about this gem in the picture. The L'Oréal Shake & Glow Luminous Setting Spray.

Let's start with a disection of the name:

Shake: This is an important part. Shake well, because this is a biphase product, read: a product with a water and oil based mixture.

Luminous: Good news (at least in my opinion, and that's what you're here for): no shimmer particles. You can best compare this spray to MAC Fix+. The ingredients are quite similar, as far as I can read, it is a more simplified formulation, but they have quite some common ingredients. E.g.: water, glycerin, coconut derivates, perfume... The L'Oréal Shake & Glow does contain alcohol denat. and sodium hydroxide, both can be irritating.

I will end this part with saying that it gives a great luminous, natural finish to the skin and it helps melting all of your products together. For me a dupe for MAC Fix+.

Setting spray: Do not let the name and the sales lady fool you. This is NOT a fixing spray. It will not help your make-up last longer. Neither does MAX Fix+ by the way.

The 24h on the bottle refers to '24h of hydration'. I find the small lettering a bit deceiving...

FINAL VERDICT: I really love this. It does not irritate my skin, but note that I am not sensitive to any kind of alcohol or the sodium hydroxide.

I love the glow the glycerine and oils give to my skin and it does not break apart my make-up. Great for foiling shadows as well and I will be replacing my MAC Fix+ with this one. It's cheaper than the MAC one, easily available, the sprayer works waaaay better and it's cute!
